Methods of pseudoscience

There are a lot of legends about phenomena that the science can't explain and the phenomena that people don't understand and the supernatural phenomena. And it is not even important how the Bermuda triangle, the UFO, the snowman or the disappeared Atlantis looked like, but the main point is that science can't explain these phenomena. In all these cases the methods of legends spread are the same.
First of all pseudo-scientists start to spread the myth. They either make them up by themselves or take them from the books of other authors consciously or unconsciously.
Secondly researchers start to cover the ordinary events with the facts full of mysteries and mysticism. Why the ship should simply sink in the Bermuda triangle, when it can disappear mystically. And why pyramids must be built by Egyptians when there can be some aliens that landed in the Egypt to help people to build the tombs.
Then the stage of exaggeration comes. For example, people say that a great number of ships and planes disappear in Bermuda triangle. In reality it is not so. It is the simple exaggeration. Investigators also start to change facts using untrue data advertising something. Not accurate data is connected with the exaggeration a lot as in its result people confuse everything on purpose or occasionally. Authors of theories start to confuse the place of catastrophes, the dates of events, the titles, etc.
And usually authors of such theories appeal to their own experience or the experience of their close friends to whom they can trust fully.
