The word "pseudoscience" comes from the Greek meaning "science" and "false". The vocabulary defines "pseudoscience” as the activity that imitates science but that is not science by its essence.

Pseudoscience imitates the real science building laboratories and centres of investigation. The pseudo-scientists even put experiments and publish the results of the experiments but only when they prove and don’t contradict the main principles of the pseudoscience.

How they appeared

People refer some spheres of human knowledge to pseudoscience gradually developing and realizing the false knowledge.

In such way some empiric knowledge of the past reached the certain results but nowadays is the elements of occultism. For example:

- Alchemy was the base for the development of chemistry and must be considered as the initial historical stage of its development.

- Astrology gave the base for the development of astronomy. But it is necessary to mention that this science is still referred to pseudoscience because of the separate development from astronomy.

- Numerology that appeared during the period of intensive development of philosophy, mathematics, astrology gave the base for the appearance of some theories of numerals.

The mentioned sciences are the stages of the development of other sciences in their essence that preceded the modern sciences. Pseudoscience is the attempts to use the initial methods of science as the alternative to science using the ancient sciences as the proof of its true essence and the proof that it is really science.

There were also sciences that appeared as the attempts to found the new, alternative science. These sciences are Informaciology, new chronology, the Japhetic theory, the wave genetics, the torsion fields, and the unique holographic theory of the Universe.
