However this is one of a few scientific investigations as sharks keep so many other interesting features and extraordinary abilities that were not investigated by scientists but are discovered day by day.

The word "pseudoscience" comes from the Greek meaning "science" and "false". The vocabulary defines "pseudoscience” as the activity that imitates science but that is not science by its essence.

Pseudoscience imitates the real science building laboratories and centres of investigation. The pseudo-scientists even put experiments and publish the results of the experiments but only when they prove and don’t contradict the main principles of the pseudoscience.

Alchemy

There is no science that provoked so many interest and researches as alchemy.

This science was brought to Europe from Arab countries and at once became very popular as all people wanted to find the philosopher's stone that would change all metals in gold and that would give the eternal youth and life. The word "alchemy" also comes from Arabian language and it became especially spread during medieval times.

Crazy investigators were spending days and nights in their laboratories trying to make something and to achieve at least something. And such researchers were really considered to be crazy and the ordinary people didn't believe the philosopher's stone really existed.

Nevertheless alchemists managed to make so many discoveries that gave the base for the development of well-known science today such as chemistry. They didn't find the philosopher's stone but they really found something more important.

Scientists doubt on whether to refer this science to the pseudoscience or not. The majority of scientists consider alchemy to be the first stage of the chemistry development and think that it should be considered from the point of view of chemistry history.

But at the same time there are still people who are working in this field that proves that this science was developing separately from chemistry and that chemistry was only the type of alchemy that developed into the proper science.
